Rawson, Saxons River, VT, time and strike, half column & splat, c1840. (3) Edward M. Barnes, Chimney Point, VT, time and strike, "groaner movement" in stenciled half column & splat case, c1835. (4) Daniel Pratt, Jr., Reading, MA, time and strike, half column & splat, c1840.
CONDITION: (1)Mahogany veneered case in original finish with some damage near the door lock. Upper door glass is missing. Mirror a replacement. Original dial and hands. Stenciling very worn on columns and splat. (2) Mahogany veneered case in original finish with a couple veneer repairs. Original painted dial with scattered paint loss. Original hands. Cracked upper glass, mirror replaced. (3) Mahogany veneered case in original finish. Side returns replaced. Original painted dial with scattered paint loss. Hands original. Period mirror. (4) Refinished mahogany veneered case with some repairs. Original painted dial with a fair amount of paint loss. Hands are original. Mirror replaced.
